Here are a few handy pieces of information to make your first visit even better.

Where do I park?

We have two spots available for patients on the west side of the building. These spots are marked with “Active Living Chiropractic” signs.

There is also street parking and a paid city lot directly across from our clinic.

When should I arrive?

If you are filling out forms, please arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment.

If you would like to fill out the paperwork ahead of time please download the appropriate forms from the options at the top of the page and email them to us when completed.

Be sure to arrive early enough to allow for time to find a parking space.

How long will my appointment take?

Initial Visit:

Chiropractic: 30-45 min

Massage: 45, 60 or 90 min

Acupuncture: 75 min


Subsequent Visit:

Chiropractic: 15 min

Massage: 30-120 min depending on booking

Acupuncture: 60 min

What should I wear?

Please wear appropriate clothing to allow us to access your area of complaint and something that will allow you to move around.

We provide tank tops and shorts should you need to change.

Will I receive treatment on my first visit?

Yes. Unless we feel we need more information or if you need to be referred out for imaging or consultation.

Insurance and Health Plan Coverage

Extended Health Plans: generally these cover between 80-100% of Chiropractic, Massage &/or Acupuncture fees. Please contact your insurance company for details on your plan. If your plan covers 100% of the costs we would be happy to direct bill your insurance company on your behalf. Please call the office for details. 

ICBC: Active claims are generally covered in full or partial costs for Chiropractic Treatment. ICBC will cover $23/visit for Registered Massage Therapy; coverage is usually limited to 12 visits. Please call the office for details. 

WCB: Unfortunately our clinic does not accept WBC claims. Should you incur a work injury while you are receiving active treatment at ALC, please inform your practitioner if you wish to be referred to a clinic that accepts WCB.

Veterans Affairs & RCMP: Can receive full or partial coverage. Please call the clinic for details.

The Medical Services Plan (MSP):covers $23/visit for patients who qualify for Premium Assistance or Social Services (net household income < 20,000). Please call the clinic for details.
