I have always had a keen interest in anatomy and physiology, movement of the human body, and injury prevention. I completed a Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary (2010) as well as spent one year abroad at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I then went on to complete my Massage Therapy 2200 hour diploma at Mount Royal University in Calgary (2012) and I am now an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
After completing my formal education I worked in clinics with chiropractors and physiotherapists, and completed two years at the Willow Stream Spa in Vancouver, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
I have a passion for learning and I am continuously taking courses to further my practice. Currently I am taking a nine course series on Integrative Facial Therapy, which focuses on treating; facial mobility of the cranium, visceral massage for the digestive system, as well as myofacial mobilization for the jaw, spine, pelvis and thorax. I also have training in trigger point therapy, manual lymph drainage, and joint mobilizations. I have a strong interest in women’s health and am pursuing more education in the area of pre/post natal massage, and pediatric treatment. My treatments focus on assessing and treating the root causes of an issue, not only the symptoms to get you back your active lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic I love to stay active with skiing, trail running, and mountain biking as well as playing with my dog Nimbus. I also love to travel. Most recently I have been to Japan, South East Asia and Nepal. I look forward to meeting you soon and being a part of your health and wellness.
